I have been with TaxCo Solutions for over a year and I have been very pleased. In addition, for many months they were working with my CC processing company and was able to find an error that resulted in a big Big BIG gain on my end. Their perseverance and detailed review of my business taxes along with filing my business taxes is awesome and second to none. Malena Cummings is the very best tax accountant I've ever had! She's very thorough and accurate in making sure my tax returns are completed in an efficient and timely manner. I appreciate her advice about changes in the tax law for the year I'm filing my tax returns. She's very kind and always charges me a reasonable fee for her work. In addition, Malena makes sure that I have all the necessary forms completed to file my state and city taxes too. I highly recommend her to handle all your personal and business tax needs! She's the best!

Not a good experience at all. I was promised be Melena that my books would be done on three separate occasions. When I started to call daily to get my books she would not return my calls. I felt sorry when I talked to the office staff as they were trying to help but they were stuck with trying to cover up for the lack of professionalism. The last straw was when I started to get non filing notices for returns that i was told were filed

Let me start off by saying you’re better off doing your own taxes than going to TaxCo. Our entire experience was absolutely terrible from start to finish with all of the staff at TaxCo, but especially Melena. First, our appointment was scheduled at 6:30pm on a Monday night. We arrived a little after 6 & gave the receptionist Shawnett our name. She looked confused & walked away into her office without saying a word, where we heard her chatting on the phone, heating up her food, etc. Around 6:45pm Melena still had not come to get us for our appointment so I went & found Shawnett, who said she would be out shortly. It ended up being 7:15pm (45 minutes after our appointment time) when Melena, who we had never met, came out & said “Are you guys ready???” We did not appreciate her rude greeting at all. She did eventually apologize for running late. After our meeting was over she said she would be emailing us documents to sign. We gave her our email but they ended up emailing our documents, which had our social security numbers, address, income, etc. to my mother in-law! Thankfully it was her, but still, there needs to be a system in check that these documents get sent to the correct person & they should be password protected! I immediately emailed Melena regarding the situation & she had Shawnett email me back to apologize. I did not appreciate that. Then, believe it or not, they sent more of our documents to my mother in-law! This happened several times, which concerns me how many other people have gotten someone else’s documents. I didn’t think I could be more disgusted with this company until April rolled around & we still didn’t get our tax refund. I emailed Melena on a Friday asking when we could expect our refund since we met with her back in February & most people said it takes 10-14 days. Of course, Melena never responded to me, so on the following Monday I called the office & Shawnett answered. She said she knew I emailed Melena & that she would get back to me as soon as she spoke with her. On Tuesday afternoon (6 days before taxes are due) I called the office again & that’s when Shawnett told me she looked into it & our taxes had gotten rejected but she didn’t know why. At this point I was livid. I paid them & I’m having to contact them to see what I haven’t received my refund & then they can’t tell me why our taxes got rejected. Finally, later that day, another person from TaxCo named Stephanie called. She figured out why our taxes got rejected & said we should receive our refund within 2 weeks. After 2 weeks passed I called the office & come to find out, our tax refund was getting mailed to us instead of directly deposited into our account like we had asked Melena to do when we met with her. This was the cherry on top of a series of events that were unprofessional & inconvenient for my husband & I. I will say Stephanie was very apologetic & said it was their mistake for missing that our taxes had gotten rejected & that they would make things right for us. I was hoping this would be a refund of our $150 we paid Melena for running 45 minutes late for our appointment, emailing our very personal information to the wrong person several times, not catching that our taxes got rejected & receiving our refund nearly 3 months after our appointment with her via check instead of direct deposit like we had asked. But unfortunately no one at TaxCo has made the situation right & that is why I am here leaving this review.

I have used them a handful of times for my taxes and don't really have a complaint in that regard. My issue is that they had my card on file from prior transactions, it was provided again upon the completion of my taxes, and then I get a call some time later from a secretary stating that they do not have it and I provided it yet again over the phone. Now I have a letter from their attorney stating he is attempting to collect a debt... the card is good, the money is there, my bank says that taxco never attempted to process a transaction. Is it really that hard to process a transaction? I have attempted to pay multiple times and am stuck dealing with some sort of administrative incompetence.
