I was a customer for only 2 months. Several small things caused me to question their competency. When I quit them I recieved my accounting paperwork from them which had multiple numerical errors and they had misentered $600 of receipts for a property I sold this year into the spreadsheet of my other property! I need those deductions to reduce capital gains tax (the main reason I sought their assistance). A costly error had I not caught it. I called and asked Margie (the owner) to fix the errors I found and confirm there were no others. I was told to bring everything they gave me back in (Why...? They have all the digital files still) and sit with her in the office while she fixed what I asked them to. I said I found 6 errors and had only gone through 30% of what they gave me, why would I spend my time finding the rest for them. I originally gave them each receipt clearly labeled, so they needed to go back through the vouchers of mine THEY scanned and juxtapose them with THEIR entries. It's what I paid them for, afterall. She said no. When I asked for even a partial refund she really went berserk and I was told to just fix it on my end and call it a day, then she hung up on me! Now I'll need to go through every receipt and match them to their paperwork to see where they messed up, so I can have the correct totals for taxes. In other words, completely re-do what I already paid them to do! On top of all that, my Attorney tells me they incorrectly set up four LLCs for me causing an egregious privacy error (Member vs Manager managed. Which we asked them about in their office and were told "nope, this is the way you do it!"). Now it will cost me $160 in filing fees to amend that error with the State, plus attornies fees to make sure it is done correctly this time. Ouch! Sadly I was sold by their sales pitch that "their service would allow me more time to enjoy life while they handled everything." I have over 5 hours into dealing with them and their errors so far and I was charged $415 for this incompetence!!!

I sat down with Ralph earlier this year. He is a great resource for me and he never fails to find an answer to my questions. I would recommend Compass Accounting Group to anyone. I trust their advice completely.

Had a great experience with Ralph and Margie at Compass Accounting Group as they helped me clean up an accounting mess when my in house bookkeeper didn't tell us she really didn't now what she was doing. What a mess it was! Not anymore because they fixed it and didn't over charge me. I will continue to use them for my business and recommend them to my friends.

Ralph has a ton of knowledge and knows his stuff. I have hired 3 CPA's and 1 accountant to work with me on my business and Compass Accounting Group gave me some advise that no one has given me in over 37 years in business. Thanks Ralph
