Matt is fantastic at what he does! He is very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of tax codes and taxes overall. We were audited by the IRS and he was able to see that the IRS made a large mistake in their audit. He helped us re-file correctly, as well as sent letters to the IRS on our behalf to have them re-look at their audit. Everything worked out perfectly, and he saved us thousands of dollars. He spends the time to make sure he gets it right, and looks at all the small details that previous accountants we worked with elsewhere have overlooked and just been a quick once over and done, losing us hundreds of dollars. He truly cares and make sure that things are done correctly and for your benefit. I couldn’t speak any higher of Matt Funk. I will recommend him to anyone!

I can't recommend Matt enough! He has an exceptional knowledge of tax codes. We initially went to Matt for tax filing for our small business and he suggested ways that we could restructure our business to save on taxes in the future. He remembers everything we've talked about with him from previous visits and is great to talk things through with us. He really helps us to understand our way around tax issues instead of just doing things and moving on. Matt Funk helped me solve a tax issue regarding foreign currency. I had some shares in my name prior to marriage. When these shares were sold, I had no idea that there was a different tax period for foreign and domestic accounts. I could have been in serious trouble because ignorance of the law is no excuse. Matt had a friend and associate that he could contact on my behalf to help us understand the predicament and find a solution. I was extremely grateful for the effort that Matt made on my behalf. This was actually the first time that Matt and myself had met in person. He didn’t know me or I him, up to this point in time, yet he treated me as a friend. The issue was resolved, but I was astonished by his kindness and his knowledge. I could put my complete trust and confidence in his ability. I will be forever grateful to him for not making me feel ridiculous, having made the error in the first place.

Matt has done our taxes for years. He is now a friend. I can call or email any questions I have, and he genuinely cares. He always gets back to me. He has helped us through countless business issues, including working with our lawyer to help with estate planning. I don't know what we would have done without his advice. He continually finds ways to save our farm money every year on our taxes. I trust Matt because he knows more about taxes than anyone else I know. He is an expert and a truly exceptional person. I don't know where to start :) Matt has been doing our taxes for 10+ years. He has helped us with rental properties, small businesses, and the ups and downs of everything!! When we first went to Matt he even looked over old tax returns and got some taxes back for us. He has always worked hard for us and is worth every penny we have paid him. Last year (2015) we moved to Texas a bought a small business. We started to use a company in Texas that was recommended for accounting purposes, however, things quickly got messed up. We called Matt up again and he took over even though he is in Utah. He cleaned up the mess and has us back on track accounting wise. He is in constant communication with us doing payroll and all other necessities even being states away. We will continue to work with Matt always!! So grateful for all he has done for us over the years. If you need a trustworthy accountant who is great, this is the place to go!!!

I have worked with Mr. Funk for over 15 years. I highly recommend their service. I have used the firm for tax service as well as consulting. I handle the financial statement preparation for several different types of companies such as a small law firm, plumbing contractors, mystery shopping company and manufacturing facility plus all of the owners individual financial needs. Funk Rockwell has completed all of the tax returns on time every year and offered advice of how our tax burden can be reduced for the current year and future years. Mr. Funk and his entire staff contact me with questions, suggestions and reminders about deadlines and tax law changes on a consistent basis and I appreciate them going the extra mile to help me keep all of the businesses in compliance and paying the least amount of tax possible at the same time. With the IRS, they have stepped up to the plate for us on several key issues and to date have driven positive results each time (Pst. they have contacts with the Tax Payer Advocacy Group and can streamline results when other attempts through the front door just don’t get you there).
