I am a stockholder in several different companies. Our management of one of the companies engaged this firm to prepare their tax return. This is where the fun started. We believed our books were relatively free from errors. However, these guys made a lot of corrections to the books that made no sense. This biggest concern was they adjusted my equity without any of our knowledge or agreement. It also didn't make a whole lot of sense. This caused a lot of trouble for me on my personal financing. I asked our management about the adjustments and they said they didn't know where the number came from but it appears it was made by these guys. We took the return to another CPA who agreed with us and had to make huge corrections to Phillips return. Most of them changing them back to the original numbers. It appears either this CPA firm doesn't know what they are doing or likes to make corrections they can't support in order to jack up our bill. Beware, other CPA firms do excellent work. This isn't one of them.
