I have never experienced a more unprofessional, uncaring, and untruthful experience as I did with this company. For three years they literally did 11(eleven) hours of billing with a $9k retainer and it cost me over $850,000 in tax, fees and fines. I am still fighting this problem. I have never been treated like I was at this firm. Zero communication without repeatedly calling, emailing and files gone untouched. I was also yelled at (yelled at!?) for simply asking to change the accountant assigned to me because she was without a clue and, dragged my tax situation out for 3 years without one single document to show for it. I was really taken back at my situation with this long standing firm. I would simply advise going elsewhere.

ZERO STARS if I could. My husband and I are ABSOLUTELY LIVID with the poor management and customer service we have experienced here. My husband initially met with Scott Felts to do our taxes this year- personal and our small business we just opened. He assured us everything was taken care of and good to go. A month or so later we received a notice from the state that our business taxes hadn’t been filed. We called to talk to Scott and the receptionist forwarded our call to another woman who couldn’t even find anything regarding our business tax filing. This was the beginning of MONTHS of being passed around from agent to agent trying to get this office to AMMEND the mistakes Scott made. Meanwhile, we are incurring fines for our taxes not being done. MONTHS and many calls and meetings later, the issue was resolved. Now, here we are (a few months after the resolution) and we receive a BILL for almost $1K!!?! At NO point in time we’re we made aware that we would be charged extra for THEM fixing SCOTT’S mistakes as well as their incompetence in fumbling our case around to actually solve the issue of a simple small business filing. We are LIVID. DO. NOT. USE. THIS. OFFICE. Absolute hacks with zero communication who try to do the least amount of work they possibly can.

Came here last year on a recommendation from one of their current clients. Met with a gentleman in Brentwood office and explained I was looking not just for tax return completed but advice and potential strategy to help lower tax bill. Communication with my CPA was lacking (had to follow up repeatedly) and received no feedback or advice. Also, I had to ask for my paper work back three times before it was mailed. All for $800. Double what I had paid for H&R Block the year before.

They tried to blindside me with outrageous fees (over 3x my normal rate and Ive been with the better part of a decade). I emailed them multiple times and didnt even receive a response until almost a year later when they started calling me asking for payment. We finally agreed on a lesser amount, but I received another invoice for the original amount. Then received another call asking for twice as much as the agreed amount from the previous call. The level [or rather, the lack] of professionalism and communication is appalling. I caution everyone to steer clear of this business that makes it quite obvious they dont care about their clients.

Great organization that has handled our business accounting needs and consulting and personal tax for 12 years. Always responsive and helpful and patient. CJ has helped with strategy early on for the business and Joey and Tonya have managed our taxes and accounting needs since then. Always a great experience and very good service.

This was the first year I used the Blankenship CPA group and it was a great experience! Scott Felts handled everything very professionally throughout the entire process. He was extremely detailed and diligent in his work and responses. I really appreciated him being willing to educate me along the way as well! I highly recommend!

I have been a client of Blankenship CPA Group for about twenty years and have enjoyed working with Joey West for ten of those. To say that I am extremely satisfied with the professional service Joey provides is an understatement and does not come close to expressing my appreciation for the high quality of his work. I never worry about the various tax law changes and requirements since Joey stays up to date on the current tax environment and files the necessary information in a timely manner. When my tax situation has changed from one year to the next, he has made sure to prepare all required forms and returns, including some that I wasn't aware were needed.
