I wish I could give 100 stars!!! I’ve been getting my taxes done with Brown's for the past four years. I run a trucking company that does really well, and recently, I’ve been flipping real estate. I usually file for an extension because, honestly, I’m never in a rush to pay $80K+ in taxes. Tara and Rose have been pushing the importance of tax planning since the beginning, but I didn’t make it a priority. Last year, I owed $110K, and I finally decided to try their tax planning service. I was skeptical at first, even though they guaranteed I’d save, so I still put in my extension in April. Well, I just filed today, and I only paid less than $15K! Tara and Rose are the real-life Batman and Robin. I went from having no retirement savings to multiple retirement accounts, I employ my wife and kids, we all have health insurance, and now I have money set aside to send my children to college. I wish I had started tax planning sooner—it would’ve made a world of difference earlier on. If you’re on the fence about it, make the investment. They take care of everything, and you will not be disappointed!

We hired Rose to support us in doing our taxes annually. She did this successfully for two years. When there was a change in how the IRS required us to pay our taxes (a move from annually to quarterly), Rose did not inform us of this in advance. A year's worth of late fees accumulated without our knowledge and, when Rose learned we hadn't been paying quarterly, she said nothing - she did not alert us that this is something we should have been doing nor did she inform us we would have a year's worth of late fees coming. Rose refused to acknowledge her mistake, saying she couldn't remember whether she informed us or not. Weeks went by without replies to phone calls or emails. When we finally got a hold of her, on Tax Day, Rose was defensive and gaslit us. After this point of contact, she again began ignoring phone calls and emails. We were finally told that "it is our responsibility to know how to file our taxes." Which, yes it is...but that is also the exact service we paid her a lot of money for. Now we are left with hundreds of dollars of late fees and thousands of dollars paid in services we did not receive. I understand that people make mistakes, but I do not understand not owning up to them and leaving your customers to clean up the mess.

Would not recommend after meeting with Tara M. For my 2023 tax return, Rose was great to work with, where she explained things in detail. Though I had many recommendations and referrals for other accountants, I chose to work with Rose because I chose to specifically support a woman and minority owned business. One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it’s time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that “Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business.” Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn’t any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.

I have been looking for a dependable small-business accountant in Philly for YEARS and I'm so relieved my search is finally over. Rose is the first accountant I've had in 10+ years of doing business who routinely answers emails the same day. Seriously, that alone is huge and would make me a customer for life. But so far Rose has also gone above and beyond to make sure my taxes (even previous tax years which she did not file!) are correct and complete. I'm really impressed so far and will be recommending Brown's Fulfillment Consulting & Accounting to whoever asks.

Rose is a kind hearted professional. She helped our organization with the paperwork to become a recognized(C)(3) non profit organization and we couldn't be happier.
