Joe is the MAN for taxes, especially if you're stressed out over them. He is a professional who can spout out tax code and laws instantly. He's a tax-code historian, with photographic memory of what year the tax code changed! The best part is somehow he is always laughing about something and can save you on taxes big time. The lady who answered the phone is a delight!

**Edit/Update- we filed a complaint with the NC Board of CPA examiners and found that Joe Franek or Franek Tax Services is not nor has ever been licensed in North Carolina. We've used Franek Tax services for several years now and have been pleased. When we contacted Joe in March 22' to do our taxes, he was responsive (via email) but did tell us that he would need to file an extension on our behalf. When we reached out in June, the excuses began and were repeated in July, August, and September. Excuse after excuse. In October, we received a bill from the IRS stating that our taxes were filled late with no extension. Joe found it was a clerical error and stated the office would take care of the bill. Unfortunately, he would need to pay us in installments and wrote up a payment plan with dates, and after the initial payment, we have yet to hear from Franek Tax Services. Emails and voicemails go unanswered, and we couldn't be more disappointed that this is the situation that we're in. We were sympathetic to their situation and agreed to a payment plan, but that was over six weeks ago, and every time he said to come to the office, it was closed. We're done with this business and are out almost a thousand dollars.

Joe helped us at the end of 2020 and everything was done correctly and smoothly. In 2021, we were set to make quarterly tax payments. All went well for quarter one. I reached out on June 10, 2021 to ask what we needed to pay for quarter 2. Joe replied with a few questions. We answered the questions and waited to hear back. Nothing. Checked back in on June 20. Nothing. I have never again heard from Joe. We have had to find someone else to do our taxes. Would not recommend. I’m not sure if it’s an issue of too many customers and Joe not have the capacity or a communication issue but we will not be going back.

Joe and team are friendly, accommodating and provide an amazing customer experience. I cant recommend them enough!
