My experience working with Tan was a nightmare. It took us nearly 3 months to get our business tax returns done and when we finally got them, they were riddled with errors. Such as missing employee benefits and pay, rent, and other basic expenses that should have been accounted for. When I pointed the errors, he just changed the subject and laughed. My business partners and I also were trying to get a basic income and expense report from him and instead of following up or trying to reach out to us he forgot about us. We spent nearly a year trying to get this report. He wouldn’t return our calls and when we were able to reach out to him, he kept stringing us along by saying “I am working on it, and it will be done tomorrow.” To answer the question why we didn’t choose just work with another accountant. The reason was because my business partners are Vietnamese, and they needed someone they could rely on, communicate with, and feel comfortable with. I would highly recommend avoid working with this guy.
