They never answer the phone. Trying to contact them for my grandma mail box is full. I am glad I go with a different tax people. This is prime season they should be there answering calls for customers. At least have an empty mail box.

Wow. I should have read the reviews before using this company. What a complete nightmare working with Merrick Tax and Accounting. First, can they not afford retail space? Who moves into a 1970's residential home to conduct business as serious as federal and state tax returns? This should have been a sign. Every point of contact has been delayed, or completely messed up. The company was all to glad to collect a huge sum of money to "file" our returns, that took almost three months to complete. Come to find out they never even filed them! They cashed our check from 2019 and the federal government contacted us via mail stating our status was UNFILED! Every phone call or question took multiple days for a return response. Emails included. The new auto-generated emails have a sentence at the bottom stating, if you try and reach them on Thursday and Friday, they are unable to help you because they are now doing some "educational training" every week. UNPROFESSIONAL. No such thing. I confirmed with my old accountant. Lies and more untruths. I will be returning to my old accountant ASAP. Regardless. I would NEVER use this company again. Complete joke of an experience. P.S only posted one star because I was forced to select something to post this.

Horrible service. My taxes didn't get filed for 2018 despite them having my info in February. I'm now having to pay $1500 in penalties and late fees. This was after being told REPEATEDLY that they were working on them, almost done, yep we have them, almost done, yes we are working on them...blah blah blah. They have moved so many times. Not sure what that means exactly but I would use caution.
