I was a client of BRW’s for about four years. Throughout the years, I was consistently let down. It was common that I would email with questions, only to need to email again when my emails went unanswered. I was passed around to numerous employees/accountants because employees were repeatedly “no longer with the company” (that lack of retention of team members speaks volumes) and I was never informed of these changes to the employees on my account until I repeatedly sought out answers. In another circumstance, I wasn’t informed when my accountant was on maternity leave-no auto response, I had to continually email when I received no response to my emails/questions. Toward the end of our time together, the communication bettered but I was surprised with a 25% increase in fees and was told it was because of my “unique tax situation” (despite my circumstances/services never changing the entire time I was a client). When I asked professionally and kindly asked for those reasonings to be expanded upon, I was “released” as a client. I cannot advise individuals or businesses to work with BRW-your communication will be poor and inconsistent, you will be treated merely as another cog in the wheel and if you question your services or payment, you’ll be let go as a client. Find a different accountant now and save yourself the headache. (I also want to point out that every bad review below has the same robot-sounding response that they take their reviews and feedback seriously. Obviously they do not since nothing has changed).

BRW Tax and Accounting has a very good online system for guidance and uploading documents to a portal, and for reviewing and signing completed documents. I’ve had good service for years.

Never in the last eight years have I had a firm be so responsive to our needs. Our old firm would hold our taxes until the end of the year. BRW had the taxes completed before April 15.

Terrible! Dont waste your money. Paid for months and never could reach our CPA. They asked for things already given. Our CPA was eventually let go and whomever took over tried to charge us for months already paid which included tax prep. I questioned this and we were dropped. Paid so much money to NOTHING.

My small corporation has been with Brian for about 10 years. We have been through struggles with the IRS, and he has been wonderful. I have just sold my business, and Brian has been great with helping me do the tax and accounting to sum up my business. Thanks so much, and we will continue using Brian for our personal Tax needs.

I have been a client of this accounting firm for almost a decade. For the preparation of my 2022 tax returns, I was treated with one gnarly experience. After being told that my returns were successfully accepted, I had to inquire on half of my return status that wasn’t received. Not only was I greeted with a disengagement letter but also a one 1-800 number along with the words, Good luck! Unbeknownst to me, my tax returns were not necessarily complete. The accountant had to re-enter my information he didn’t properly do so in the first place so I can receive my full entire refund and after that was said and done, they entered my return amount completely wrong! Everything had to be amended and not one single apology was necessarily thrown my way or any kind of indication that I should receive a partial refund since the service I paid for was not done complete or successful at that! Customers need to know how they may be treated with this accounting firm for their future needs if they wish to use their services. I have already decided not to use this firm in the future because of the inflation prices that I have been dealt with ever since starting a relationship with this accounting firm. I wish this firm the best of luck but how I was treated this last time around was definitely not appreciated and something could have been done a bit more on their end to make sure that I was happy and satisfied with the service that I paid for!!
