I've been a returning customer for 5 years now. Don and his awesome team (shout out to Brenda) have been consistently outstanding and helpful. I appreciate their updates, forethought, and expertise. Despite always being slammed during tax season, they still manage to return all of my questions in a timely manner. I always feel at ease with this team. They set the bar high.

Booked a consultation to discuss questions on prior tax years and on tax implications of starting a home business. During the appointment the CPA did not take the time to understand our questions and assumed we were only trying to start a businessto write off taxes. Then after sending in our prior year tax documents I didn't hear anything back for a few weeks (outside of tax season). I followed up with them and got a very casual email back with follow up questions in incomplete sentences indicating they had not listened to us during the consult and had misread our residential and tax statuses. Overall, would not recommend - I felt like I was the one doing all the work trying to explain the situation and to ensure our taxes were optimized.

Pretty rudimentary outfit that can handle basic stuff but if your needs are more complex look elsewhere.

Horrible communication throughout, consistently ignoring emails. Submitted my taxes just prior to the deadline, not leaving sufficient sufficient time for me to ask my employer important questions.

I have used R&D for tax prep for the past six years and have always been very satisfied with their work. Recently they went above and beyond to help my daughter with a non-traditional tax filing. Don patiently listened to the circumstances and confidently developed a plan to resolve the issue. R&D executed and the filing was completed. We are very grateful for the staff's knowledge and their humanity. I first learned about R&D based on their excellent reviews on the Nextdoor app.

I was happy to find this team after bouncing around to various shops for a couple of years. Stable, solid communication, and able to answer my questions. We have found a great partnership for our personal and business tax needs! Hooray!

I'd rather get audited than deal with these ghouls. Save your money and avoid the hassle by taking your business elsewhere. I requested them to process two years of my taxes. When I went in to review with them, they had only processed one year. So they shuffle to the back real quick and hastily process the other year in about 20 minutes while I waited. After that, nothing but constant headaches from the IRS and R&D accounting. I think I had to go in three more times to get everything settled. Didn't save a penny by using them, but it added hours to my taxes and significant stress.

I have used R and D Accounting for about 6 years. I wont be using them again. I waited over 2 1/2 months for my 2021 taxes, never started still. A staff member told me by the end of June 2022 it would be completed. I never heard there would be a delay when I called about two weeks ago.. On the last day of the month I went and collected my unstarted taxes. A friend said 10-15 days during the busy season it takes for her firm to do the taxes or 2-3 days during off season. My stars only reflect the new way they do business which I just discovered lacking communication of any delays. Not their work to date.

I had a question regarding a real estate base cost for tax purposes and my research on IRS websites couldnt satisfactorily answer it. As R and D was recommended by my house appraiser, I sent them an email briefly describing the situation and asked for a consulting quote (I felt I needed to sit down with someone knowledgeable and discuss the situation in detail and I was prepared to pay for it as well). Don Bondeson (possibly the D in R and D?) promptly replied with an answer - apparently this was a simple enough issue for him (not for me), he explained it in detail right there instead of quoting me a consulting fee. In my book, this is how you gain trust of a potential customer - I shall remember and next time Ill need accounting services, I exactly know where to go (as well as recommending them to whomever asks me).
