Never go here for tax services. I had one appt with her and she started to give so many excuses as to why she can’t get my taxes done. I asked for an extension 3/2023…had my appt with her 5/2023 and never heard from her again. Found someone else to submit my taxes by 10/2023. Don’t waste your time. 02/19/24: As I expected no accountability. You rather lie than tell the truth and just apologize for your unprofessionalism. Communication was poor. Documents were uploaded to your portal in May 2003. You never communicated anything else was needed because you never looked at the documents that were sent. 5 and half months go by and you want me to still work with you?? If you were not able to handle my situation it was best to communicate that and not drag me along with rescheduled appts and excuses. After the 4th reschedule why would I show up and take you serious??!! I used someone else and I was filed within 3 days with the same information I submitted to you. What’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong.

Unresponsive and unreliable. Being a client of 3 years, one would expect some professional courtesy. Total lack of care and communication despite sharing my personal situation and sense of urgency.

Mrs. Phelps is very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to fix my tax issues. I called her office on a whim, and she was able to fix my issue and explain exactly what went wrong. I let a so called online travel nurse tax professional do my taxes, and he messed it up! I’m so grateful that Mrs Phelps was able to figure out the problem and fix it. I’ll be working with Mrs. Phelps from here on out. She knows exactly what she is doing!

Janice has been doing my taxes for many years now. She started doing them with the place was Ladd Financial. I knew from day one that she was the brains behind the operation. She is very accommodating and really knows her stuff. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my taxes or other accounting needs.

My husband and I used Phelps Financial for the first time today. Our regular tax person suddenly retired and anxiously, I didn't know where to turn. I chose Janice not only because she had an excellent rating on Google Reviews but also because her clientele had a wide range of financial perplexities that she had handled for them. I called and was given an appointment the next day! We have returned from that appointment and I have to say that Mrs. Phelps is exceptional at what she does! She checked all the boxes I was looking for in a tax preparer/ financial adviser. She put me at ease right away. She answered all of my questions, explained everything to my understanding and had my taxes filed in only 1 hour!! I was amazed and even nodded to the "Man Upstairs" for pointing me in her direction. When I left I felt like I had made a new friend and I had definitely found a new Tax preparer. Thanks again, Janice!!

What brought me to Mrs. Phelps' office is that she's an Enrolled Agent (EA). Meaning she can represent you when dealing with IRS issues. She was able to meet with me on short notice (off-season), and explained where I went wrong filing. Was able to take a 10k IRS bill down to less than 2k (and she fixed my state filing). Clean office, quick friendly service, and taking new clients (at time of review). Give her a call, she's worth it.
