Marty has great communication and is dedicated to making sure his current and potential clientele are met with only positive experiences.

Upon reaching out to Marty he scheduled 15 min call. Upon connecting with him i met a very honest, professional person. Marty guided me without any hesitation to the right path, even thought that meant going elsewhere. Finding such honest and honorable ppl to work with is becoming hard lately and i had the pleasure to be able to interact with Marty. Positive Responsiveness, Professionalism

Marty is a home spun, down to earth accountant who knows his stuff. Very relaxed manner but a laser beam focus on what works for your business. Highly recommended.

Marty McCutchen has the wonderful ability to handle a complicated tax situation, come up with a great plan, and put you at ease all at the same time. Great knowledge and skill!

If you are a small business or an individual looking to have someone on your side for all your tax needs then look no further! Marty McCutchen CPA has the knowledge the CPA bring to the table cannot be matched! I highly recommend you give Marty a call so he can review your Tax returns and make sure they were submitted to the IRS correctly! Who knows you may even get an Extra Return check!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS "CPA"!! I hired Marty for my business tax return and experienced nothing but problems throughout the process. Poor communication and poor customer service was the last thing I expected after paying Marty a premium price ($3000 for 2017 return and $300/mo IN ADVANCE for the 2018 return) for what should have been a fairly simple tax return . Marty and his firm failed to pay attention to any of the information that was given to them, they overlooked a $70,000 write off that was specifically pointed out to them in advance, filed for an extension over a month late (costing me a $400 penalty which they would never address despite numerous emails and messages left) and threatened to cancel their services the first time I expressed any frustration. Mind you they were informed in early February that I was in the process of buying a home therefore filing on time was crucial. On 2/13/18 Marty let me know that they had began working on the return. One month later on 3/13/18 he emailed to say he was running behind and would be filing an extension (deadline is 3/15/18 for an S Corp extension). On 3/27/18 he emailed to say that the return would be completed and sent for review within 2 days. 6 days later I received the return which was missing $70,000 in depreciation write offs and had mistakes where he "assumed" that partial taxes had been paid mid year, mind you he never asked, he just input numbers he thought should go there. 4/9/18 I confirmed that all revisions were correct and that I was approving the revised return to be filed, Marty said he would get it done (We were scheduled for closing by the end of April and Marty knew this). 9 DAYS LATER I get an email confirming that an EXTENSION (not the return) was filed on 4/17, 34 days after he initially claimed an extension would be filed, and 32 days after the deadline to file an S Corp extension. This is when I began to really question his abilities and his word. Marty had no concern for my business or personal needs and he had no concern for how this was going to affect my home purchase. On 4/18 Marty said he would E-file the return the next morning and scheduled a call for 4/23 to go over my concerns. He skipped the call on 4/23 and never filed the return on 4/19 despite sending an email claiming he had. My return wasn't actually filed until 4/27/18, 73 DAYS AFTER he began working on it, and only 1 day before closing on our new home. Marty was paid over $4000 for his services and fell short every step of the way. On 8/13 I received a letter from the IRS letting me know that Marty never filed the proper forms for our business classification. When contacted, Marty initially said he would resubmit the forms but then never followed up with us. We had to reach out to the IRS directly to resolve the issue. On 10/18 I received a letter from the IRS that Marty had failed to file the return or the extension on time and that I owed a fine of $400. Marty was emailed and called and I left messages with his secretary. He never responded to me in any way. This should tell you everything you need to know about his professionalism. We only hired Marty because he claimed to specialize in business taxes and we wanted someone knowledgeable to make sure we didn't have simple mistakes and screw ups. In the end I could have gotten better service from H&R Block for a lot less money and stress. SAVE YOUR MONEY & AVOID THIS "CPA"!!! EDIT: 12/13/18: Please see the comment below from the owner as support for everything written above. Not once does he refute a single incident or mistake, he only claims that he saved us money. Never mind the fact that the only reason the return saved us money was because we made Marty go back and fix all of his costly mistakes prior to filing. If we had filed the return Marty sent for review it would have cost us thousands. Marty, you did not save us anything, your negligence cost us time, and almost cost us a lot of money. Don't you dare try to take credit for savings that occurred as a result of us correcting your mistakes.

POOR - NEW CLIENT - CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE! After meeting with Marty McCutchen and him verbally agreeing to accept me as a new client, I submitted all of the requested documents. Two months after the tentative filing date, provided to me during that meeting and after NUMEROUS messages, Marty McCutchen finally replied (via email) to let me know that my return had not been touched. He elaborated that they were overwhelmed with some of their "LARGER CLIENTS" (not current clients, but larger clients). I was then referred to another CPA. During the 4 month interaction between Marty and I, reaching him was quite the challenge. I had to leave numerous messages via phone, as well as email (one of which was left with the front desk who stated that Marty was on the other line and would give me a call me right back - which he did... 2.5 weeks later and only after I scheduled an appointment). In that conversation Marty stated that he was busy and that he would have another associate give me a call the following week to begin working on my return. Naturally I never received that phone call, so 2 weeks later, I reached out and that's when I was told that my return had STILL not been touched and referred me to another CPA because he and his team were busy with their "LARGER CLIENTS". As a new client, I would have expected better customer service, as well as a more proactive approach in letting me know that my return would not be completed within the timeframe provided. I believe that FOUR MONTHS, regardless of the situation, was ample time to do so. I HIGHLY encourage new clients to do their research before moving forward with Marty McCutchen, as I wish I had.

Marty and his team are very knowledgeable and responsive, even during tax season when I know they are working long hours.

Marty has worked with me on many business clients saving them thousands in tax dollars. He brings fresh ideas to small and large businesses to cut those tax bills.

Marty McCutchen, CPA Firm is always on top of our Accounting/Taxes. I highly recommend Marty and his firm to anyone.

Marty and his team have provided a great service, and enabled us to get filings done in a much more timely manner. They helped us clean up and streamline all aspects of our accounting by taking a close look at how we operate and eliminating outdated or otherwise unnecessary accounts and items.
