They were a wonderfully helpful business, but after my business closed in 2019, leading to loss of life savings and bankruptcy, they now refuse to release the payroll records I already paid monthly for. I need to provide my ex-employees with their W2's, which I will prepare myself, but this company is holding the information back for a ransom. Doesn't seem very ethical.

They out source all payroll, one reason is that four accounting people just walked out because of management problems. They found boxes and boxes of tax, payroll and other company business in closets and have no idea of where it goes. More later...
