We believe small businesses have been greatly overlooked...treated as a number, not a name. In the Chattanooga area, 93% of all businesses have between 1 and 49 employees...these businesses are the backbone of America. With that belief, Southern Payroll & Bookkeeping was founded. We have a Team of experts in the Payroll/HR and Bookkeeping space, all of whom specialize in working with small-businesses. Additionally, we offer a simple, transparent pricing structure with no hidden fees or charges.

We reached out to SPB in hopes of switching over to them. After digging deeper I realized they were more expensive. I am a small business and literally every dollar matters. When discussed with the owner about no longer moving forward, they still deducted (from the wrong account) and conveniently misunderstood our conversation. Was told they would reimburse, but now refuse. Not sure how a company can take your money for services not rendered, but here we are. I would not recommend SPB. They will return your calls/emails when they want your business, but if you question them or say something they dont like they will ghost you.
Thanks to Debbie in the Tax Department for handling my taxes the last couple of years. She’s very knowledgeable and answers my questions thoroughly.
They are the best. Thanks Charlene

Charlene Womack is who I work with. She is great 👍
Jamie and Jennifer are great! They always take care of our payroll/bookkeeping needs in a timely fashion.
Jamie and Jennifer are always on top of any situation that can arise with my payroll anytime I need them! They even remind me when I have forgotten to submit a payroll and nudge me along even staying late to get ours done on time! Thank you ladies! Dr. Shawn Jones Chattanooga Wellness Centers
The whole team at SBP is accommodating and supportive! Jennifer and Jamie help me each week. They are friendly, easy to work with, and provide the best customer support!
Charmaine is one of the best they got when it comes to keeping up with the books for your company. She works hand and hand with you, and if you got question she now’s the answer or will find out. She has been working with my books for over fours now. Thank you and all SPB team.
