After our tax preparer of 13 years sent us a letter 2 weeks before tax season that he was closing we were pretty nervous about finding someone. Luckily a fellow local business owner recommended Michael at Dakota CPA. He was able to get us in to do a meeting and pre-estimate a week before the end of the year. He was extremely helpful and responsive. Any questions we had he explained in great detail and gave us recommendations on how to lower our yearly taxes. When it was all said and done we ended up paying almost 1/3 of what we would have if we went to our old tax preparer. Overall he was more helpful and gave us great advice as well as fixed mistakes our old tax preparer did. We've also recommended him to family and friends that were looking and they've had the same great experiences. The staff is always nice and welcoming as well when we stopped in.
