GrowthLab has been SUCH a help for my tiny business. I jumped into business thinking I could just sign up for quickbooks and figure it out as I went. And then, months later, I had messy books and didn't know how to organize them correctly. I tried a couple of other accounting services that were more DIY-- they'd do a few training sessions with you (for several hundreds of dollars) and then you were supposed to apply what you learned and manage things better on your own. What I learned, though, is that running a small business means your attention is split in a million directions and no matter how great you are with math or money or spreadsheets or any of that, if you don't have a natural interest in working on your books, it will fall to the side while all of the other tasks pile on. So finally I surrendered to the reality that I shouldn't be assigning myself bookkeeping responsibilities because it just wasn't getting done and I was spending a long time researching questions that would come up about how to categorize things or how to properly make adjustments. I hired GrowthLab about a year ago and had them clean up my books from the previous year and a half (since I started my business) and then we went forward with quarterly maintenance bookkeeping, which has been a godsend. The peace of mind of knowing that someone who does this all day long is using their knowledge to organize your accounts is invaluable, and I really like that I can take an owner's role now of just checking on the books and doing quarterly reviews (you could choose more often if you want, but quarterly is enough for my business). So, honestly, I've tried at least 3 other accounting firms and GrowthLab is LEAGUES ahead of all of the others I worked with. They're professional, efficient, and kind people, and when I meet (over video) with my account manager, I'm always really impressed by how quickly she can make updates when we need them- she knows the software so well that what takes her about 2 seconds to do would have cost me an hour in researching and poking around different screens (and I'd have much less confidence that it was done correctly). I can't suggest them highly enough. They are worth every dime of the investment you make into their services, and if you're a small business owner, the relief of having this responsibility off your shoulders is invaluable.
