I have used Happy Valley Accounting for my taxes since 2018 and have received great service. Ryan and his team have always provided clear guidance and prompt responses to my questions and concerns. A major benefit is that you can work with them entirely remotely if you choose. I have had a variety of different tax situations - working as an independent contractor with several companies, working remotely across different states, and Ryan has always ensured my taxes were handled accurately and on time.

I have been using Ryan's firm for the past several years both personally and for my business. Ryan and his Team handle our Payroll, Monthly Financial Statements, all of our taxes and several more items that I prefer not to handle myself. Ryan has advised me when looking to buy real estate as a personal investment. He has also advised me when looking at new hires for the office and business acquisitions. I find Ryan and his Team to be highly knowledgeable in their field. I can email, text or call and I typically have my answers before days end. I am EXTREMELY happy with the quality of the service provided, the accuracy of the service provided and the effectiveness of the service provided! Ryan and his Team allow myself and my Team to take care of OUR business and not get sidetracked with what they take care of. I could not do what I do if it weren't for Ryan and his Team. I have always done my own taxes up until this year, however, when I sold a vacation home in another state I realized that when I finished I had too many questions and unknowns. That's when I made the decision to reach out to Happy Valley Accounting, who had otherwise stellar reviews. My initial interactions with the company were great, but then everything went downhill. Ryan made it a point to tell me that despite my bill being paid, they were here for me all year. I not only got audited in the state where my vacation home was, I also got audited in Pennsylvania. Ryan and his team completely botched the taxes for the condo sale and after being forced to do a ton of legwork myself, I received a tax bill for $4,000 on August 21st. I immediately reached out to Ryan and told him about the bill, as well as an additional $200 penalty if it wasn't paid by August 31st. Ryan said he would immediately review it, and nearly a week passed without response. I began e-mailing and calling from that point forward, with no response. On September 1st I finally reached out to the part time employee who assisted on my taxes and was told, in short, we messed up and did your taxes wrong, you'll have to pay that tax bill. So not only would I have been better off submitting my taxes myself, I now had to pay the $4,000 bill plus an additional penalty since Happy Valley Accounting couldn't be bothered to get me an answer in a timely manner. That doesn't even include the several hundred dollars I paid them to do my taxes wrong. I don't know if they overextended their staff, or what the deal is, but this isn't customer service and this is NOT good accounting work. I HIGHLY recommend you find another accounting firm - I know I will be in 2024.

Ryan and his team have been phenomenal. I had to let my in house office manager go 4 years ago and took on all of the financials of my small business myself. This in addition to the day to day operations. Ryan helps me every month, gives me valuable guidance when I need it and completes both our business and personal tax returns. Great service. Reasonable rates. Very, very glad that I am using Happy Valley Accounting. It's one less thing to cause me stress!

Ryan did my taxes when I lived in State College and always did a top notch job. Now that I live elsewhere in the state he does everything digitally for me and this process was so easy I thought I messed my part up! Thanks for a great tax season!
