2024 first time customer with this firm, they were unable to process or offer direct deposit for my return. Fast forward 9 months after filing and I have yet to receive my return due to snail mail check being stolen from my mailbox or in route from US postal service. After months of additional paper work, filling claims, back and forth to confirm details of signature I am not confident if I will actually receive a refund. I know this company cannot anticipate when someone steals US mail, that part is an anonmoly but I would do yourself a favor and ensure on your first return that they can make an acceptation to do direct deposit so this doesn't happen to you. There has been no offer to waive any fees and I am concerned there will be another bill for the back and forth of claim process leaving my fees for them out balancing my return in the first place. They haven’t responded with an update in two months. Agree with other reviews on punctuality being an issue. I had planned on being a long time client with a marriage and major life changes on the horizon, but I will be rethinking my choice for 2025.

Set up an appointment at 12 with one of their CPAs for a phone interview, guy never called and decided to reach out to me at 2 o’clock as if nothing happened. Went with another place instead. Realized if they don’t take punctuality serious, then they won’t take me serious as a future client. Edit: they reached out to rectify the situation so i have changed my review. Appreciate them willing to learn and take the time to understand where i was coming from.

This was the worst experience. Beyond unprofessional. Regularly failed to meet deadlines and did not respond to requests. I only received basic information when I went to the firms managing partner. I would recommend anyone else.

I tried to use Wilke CPAs to address an identity theft issue with an old tax return. While Wilke was unable to address my specific issues, they treated me fairly and billed reasonably. Omar Thrower was particularly helpful.

Edited on 3/22/22: Moving from 1 to 4 stars. The CEO reached out to both apologize, and rectify the issue. While I am not impressed with the original issue - I am very impressed with the response taken to address my concern. For the CEO to care about things like this - that alone makes me feel this is the type of company you would want to work with. Issue: This company has been sending me multiple bills. I have never used their services. I have contacted them on 4 separate occasions over the last 12 months about this, and each time they have promised to correct the issue. I am now forced to handle this matter publicly through google reviews and the BBB.

I had contacted them with questions concerning the solar panel tax credit. They responded quickly and knew exactly what I was talking about. I would highly recommend them for anybody especially with not typical questions. Positive Responsiveness, Quality

We received a bid from Wilke to do our accounting. Wilke had all necessary documents before the bid. Our invoice was FOUR times higher than the bid. Wilke never called us about the overruns, just sent a bill. Furthermore, they asked for an IRS extension without asking us for permission. Then they made an error in their work which cost an IRS penalty. Highly recommend finding another firm.

Knowledgeable, professional and efficient CPA firm specializing in personal and small business tax matters. David Wilke is the primary principal of the firm and personally reviews my tax return every year and makes it a point to ensure I’m taking best advantage of all available tax breaks.

I would highly recommend finding another accounting firm for your tax returns this year. My husband and I had an awful experience with our 2018 returns. Both our state and local returns were kicked back to us and we received letters they were done incorrectly. Peter was unwilling to fix his mistakes and said it was due to errors made by our (separate) employers instead. After consulting a different accountant (who found the issue with how the taxes were filed by Wilkes and Associates) we asked for a refund. We spent extra time and energy refiling. Peter finally said he would look over our documents to see if he made a mistake if WE PAID HIM again! if you’re looking for an honest, helpful CPA look elsewhere.

Love the staff at Wilke and Associates especially Nichole Feller she is the best accountant I have ever worked with, I dont know what I would do with out her!! I would truly be lost with out her hard work and dedication and her attention to the smallest detail.
