Went to them after the death of my partner. They did the bare minimum and I failed to get her refund. They gave me the documents with no indication of where to sign and told me to mail them myself. When i picked up the documents I felt like i was being rushed out the door, like they were done with me. They called me right before the anniversary of her death to ask for more money.

Jeremy Prickel did our taxes, both personal and business, for years, and always with clear instructions. One year we had an amended return that would get us a significant return, but he did not tell us we needed to submit it ourselves in a hard copy. No instructions at all. Fifteen months later when we were still asking where the return was, he first told us. So I mailed it in and followed up with the IRS several times on the phone and in person about it. In the end, the IRS decided not to process the return, even though they acknowledged receiving it in time, because I did not have proof of mailing (this is legal in the 9th circuit), which Mr. Prickel also did not mention was required. Because it was not sent in for so long we did not have time to resend it so we lost the refund.

This place has totally gone downhill. Major internal confusion and miscommunication. Asked for internal Quickbooks help and never received during tax time. Never got journal entries to correct accounting in Quickbooks like I asked for. Service was great about 10 years ago.

I want to recommend this group of CPA’s to my enemies, my ex-boyfriends, and all of my haters!! They are the worst!! They will charge high rates for the worst service for your taxes and your business. They were so bad that I feel compelled to write this review. If you want to be taken care of for your business taxes then RUN!!!!!!!!!!!! This is not the right place!! Mark was our CPA. He charged us $14,000 dollars to put us in the worst financial situation ever!! We found a new cpa who confirmed that Mark made bad tax decisions for us. Consider yourself warned.

I greatly appreciate all the help Carrie and her team have given me. I can send accounting and QuickBooks questions and they are quick to get back to me and help solve my issues. Grateful to be working with Jones & Roth!

We use then at Stretch Shapes and absolutely love their services. They have been there to support as as we scale and I love the quarterly meetings! Positive Responsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Our company has used Jones and Roth for over 18 years and they give amazing customer service. I love our CPA, Jeremy Prickle CPA.

Positive Quality, Professionalism, Value

We have used Jones and Roth for more than ten years for our small business in Eugene. We initially used this accounting firm because I had a friendship with a senior partner. But when she retired our small business account was shuffled around to more and more junior accountants for taxes. Finally last year was the final year for our business thanks to COVID. In 2019 they charged us more than $3k to prepare our tax info. Which they demanded in advance! And now for 2020 they have the gaul to try to wring more money out of our small business just so we can take another tax hit. I have no confidence in them any more. We never received our tax reports sooner than the first of April of the following year. Which put us in a bind to have our personal taxes completed by April 15. They make attorneys look like saints.

I own a local dental practice and have been proud to work with Jones and Roth for about 6 years. They have been excellent at taking the initiative to organize agendas for our quarterly meetings. They are very easy to communicate with. I get answers to my questions within 1-2 days, every time. Jeremy Prickel has been fantastic as my accountant. He is very thorough, makes sure he understands my vision, and provides many great recommendations to help me achieve my goals. Together we have changed several key business systems that have proven to be very valuable in organizing and simplifying my business as well as providing increased financial success. I have recommended Jeremy and Jones and Roth to several colleagues without hesitation.

Not impressed. Their financial adviser didnt care about our goals and only wanted us to buy his financial products. They made a mess of our taxes, filing at the last second even though they had ample time (by their own definition), then wanted us to pay for extension we shouldnt have needed or wanted. They gave us a financial report full or spelling and other errors which was the last straw. FIRED.

Yes, they can get the basic work done for you. Most, if not all, CPA's can also. The problem with Jones & Roth is they are totally unorganized internally. If you ask an important question during your meetings with them (like I did), don't expect to ever hear back from them. If they make internal changes of the staff handling your work, you won't hear a thing about it. Etc. etc. the list of bad communication experiences I had with them goes on and on. Finally decided to take my business elsewhere, and so far, the new CPA firm is far outperforming Jones & Roth. Edit: Saw the response from owner claiming that have no record of doing business with me. That's because I have more than one email address, dumdums. In my opinion, this sort of "this must be a fraudulent review" response says it all about Jones & Roth. Trust me. I did business with them for a couple years, and they were not good at all. Downgraded from my original 2 star review to 1 star.
