Based on my personal experience working with Roger of McCloud & Associates, I do not recommend this firm services for several reasons. 1) Poor/unprofessional client communication, Roger felt that I was expecting more communication regarding my accounts then their firm was required to provide. I was accused that I was aggressive in my communication with members of his team, which was not true. 2) Poor onboarding process, that was plagued with technical issues. It took time to get the onboarding form, and once I got it, it wouldn’t allow me to add my information. In addition, the forms were not encrypted to ensure security for private/confidential information. Apparently there is a client portal which I was never able to access. 3) Requirement to use in-house accounting app (no integrations), Quickbooks, or Wave Accounting. You cannot use Zoho Books, or related products, as their firm believes they contain a security risk, but never outlined what these risks were. 4) Treatment of employees. I heard that some employees were not treated fairly, and were subject to write-ups/disciplinary measures. Management took negative action without a clear, and full understanding of client account issues. 5) Changing terms of agreement. I was a “grant recipient” for “pro-bono” accounting services. I was told that I would meet with my accountant, each week. Those calls never happened. Also, the “accountants” you work with, are not actual accountants. They are bookkeepers. I never met my tax accountant. There are other places in Tulsa. I would just steer clear of this firm.

We have always been DIY tax people, but with a new business and extra 1099 income we decided it was time to level up to the professionals. McCloud & Associates took away any doubts I had about letting someone else do my taxes. They did a great job maximizing deductions and finding all the things I didn’t even know to look for! Getting a great refund with the peace of mind of knowing you’re covered if Uncle Sam decides it’s your turn for an audit is such a great feeling! Great service & great results, what more could we ask for? Give them a try today!

After trying a couple other accountants for my business taxes, I was recommended to try McCloud & Associates and I’m really pleased with them. I have worked with Scott and Christian at McCloud & Associates and they were both really well informed and skillful people to work with. Scott was very knowledgeable about business taxes and Christian was really helpful in working with my accounts. I will continue to work with them and will recommend them to anyone looking for tax filing and bookkeeping.

Their communication skills, warmth, expertise, and pricing were all entirely unmatched. The owner went above and beyond to answer my questions and tailor a plan for my current needs.
