Still a crook , lock this guy up . I will be reporting to some accreditation board . Your interest don’t come first with these guys . You are 4th or 9th priority on their to do list . Prices are egregious and service is preposterous.

Another year filing taxes with Wilson and I could not be more grateful for his help. Saving me so much money, helping explain the process thoroughly and helping me become better organized for next year, he has saved me so much time, stress and money. Last year he helped me through a situation where the IRS claimed my payment wasn’t sent even though it was, taking the stress completely off of my shoulders to figure it out. Update Dec 2023: After receiving four separate formal complaints, including ours, and failing two consecutive peer reviews, the NCCPA Board found that this practice violated Rules 21 NCAC 08N .0212 (Competence) and .0404 (Accounting and Review Standards), and censured them. Original Review: Every business has a few bad reviews, but sort these by “Newest” and youll see a clear and disturbing pattern. Our shockingly bad experience matches those of Margaret Tesh, Patrick Nickerson, and Traci Rose, whose recent reviews I recommend you read and take very seriously. Unfortunately, we signed up to work with this firm before those reviews were posted, and we also fell victim to their malpractice. After paying thousands of dollars in advance for bookkeeping and tax preparation, Wilson and Mildrid became nearly impossible to reach. On the rare occasion that they did answer a phone call, we were assured that our bookkeeping was done and our tax filing was just around the corner. It’s now well past the filing dates, and they still haven’t shown us a P&L or completed any tax filings. Worse, after repeated requests and over a month past the late-filing deadline, we finally received a draft copy of our return. It had over $1,500,000 in transactions that were not made from any accounts that we own. Mildrid has claimed that we’re ineligible for a refund because they haven’t had time to complete their services. Business taxes were due in March, it’s November. As with the other poor reviews, I expect to see a polite response from Wilson offering to work things out. Please don’t fall for it. Notice that all of his responses request the reviewers to call the office. As I mentioned above, they simply don’t answer the phone. At the time of this review, their voice mailbox is full, and has been for weeks, so you can’t even leave a message. For your mental health, please look elsewhere for accounting services. We’ve had to start over with a new accountant, and are looking at late fees and penalties. We’re filing official complaints about this firm in the hopes that no one else will have to endure the stress, inconvenience and wasted time that they caused us.

I changed CPA firms 5 years ago to Mildrid Esua CPA. Each year Wilson or the staff provide detailed directions what they need from our business records. They prefer the records be uploaded and questions to be answered. They set the appointment to review our business year and review. They call me when the returns are ready and we review the needs for the upcoming year. I meet with Mildrid today for 2022 year end needs, and find Mildrid Esua CPA to be exceptional and thorough. The firm is fair with pricing as well. Our S-Corp business and our personal returns have been perfect, which we have expect nothing less. The negative reviews may be that they have not mintained their records and they want the CPA to manufacture the information?I highly recommend Mildrid Esua CPA.
