You should listen to bad reviews. These people are incompetent. There is no excuse for not returning a call. There is no excuse for e filing a tax return without permission. Whatever the reason they have for being terrible, it is a fact that they are terrible. They nearly cost me a lot of money, all because i was unable to communicate with them soley because they cant return a phone call. Then I had to go through a lot to have my return amended because they efiled without permission.

They are wonderful...Fast... Efficient...and AFFORDABLE... Anne Marie does mine couldn't Ask for Nicer people...As for the bad reviews..I think they are just miserable people that didn't get back as much as they Wanted .

Have had my taxes done here for years and was always happy. I had a major life event and wanted to discuss several things with last years and the upcoming years taxes. Left a note on top of all my paperwork that I dropped off for my accountant to call me BEFORE doing anything. Got the call both times in the evening while I was unable to get to my phone, acctnt left a message saying to call at x time, and I would call back minutes after the missed call, several times, and no one would answer. Left voice messages and they were never returned. Receptionist called me and as soon as I answered, said, "oh I'm sorry I noticed you wanted your accountant to call you.. these are your return amounts..." The lack of attention to detail is alarming. I picked my taxes up today and reiterated how unhappy I was and no effort.to make it right was.made, the attitude was basically "yep we hear this a lot".. I was actually told "well I'm not [your accountant]", and that I could make an appointment halfway through the year to discuss how to move forward this year (and let's not forget I still have qiestions about the return they're filing today without speaking with me). Sadly I will have to find someone else to my taxes. They've gotten too big for their britches and can't handle the amount of clients they have. Extremely disappointed and got to pay $100 for the privilege.

They have way to much work. The receptionist is very short and it seems very stressed. I would NOT recommend to go there as the poor people needs a break.

They have been doing my taxes since I was a kid at my first job. Absolutely love them and never had a problem. My whole family goes to them.

We have been using Johnston's for 30 plus years. My husband's entire family does as well. We've always had great service and never been unsatisfied with Alan.

Disappointed this year, not the service when Gus was there. The Tax Preparer doesn’t call you back for questions about your taxes and was very disappointed in the charge for my Mom who is retired and not getting anything back or paying taxes will charge her for an ez tax 60.00.

Stay away!! They are taking on more clients than they have the capacity to serve. I dropped off my documents in March-called them several times and emailed them. When I did get someone on the phone, they basically said they were too busy to see where I was on the list and would not even check to see if they received my email. They called me once and I missed the call- they never even filed an extension for me, costing me a lot of money in fees. After tax day, I picked up my documents and took them elsewhere.
