I never like to leave negative feedback, I was referred to Daniel Kubiak CPA after my tax preparer retired. I received the "welcome to" letter in January from Kubiak CPA. I returned my tax documents early February as they requested by mail, after no response, I called and was advised to send them via email PDF file which I did, again no response. This was all done by end of February/early March, before the pandemic. Throughout March, I called and or emailed weekly with no response, or I heard a recording state that "although they are not in the office, tax returns are being done and processed." By April 3rd after 4-5 weeks of no response I had my taxes done elsewhere, completed, and filed within 3 days. I then called Kubiak CPA on April 9th to leave a message, and now "of course" they answer, I advise them my taxes have been done elsewhere, and not to file, the lady's response, was "ok." No sorry for wasting 3 months, worrying me, nothing. My concern is I was referred to them for pretty simple, taxes, which they failed to do, or apologize for not doing. Now they have my address, social security, W-2's, banking information, etc, all this private confidential information. I think this is terrible, and strongly recommend you seek tax preparation services elsewhere.

Giving one star because you can't give less and still be recorded. Dan did my taxes for years, however as soon as I was audited by NYS he no longer returned my calls and only rarely retuned emails. The first audit took a YEAR to finish due to communication. The second time Dan did the same and added lying to me that it was being dealt with. Well, after a tax warrant, freezing my accounts, and having NYS take what they said they were owed it's done. All without Dan acknowledging the situation by call or email. Save your money and find a reputable CPA to do your taxes accurately and then support you should you be audited. Do not waste your time, money, and sanity with Dan Kubiak.
