If you're looking for an accountant that will charge you for every second of your time, this is it. I met with them briefly for an initial interview to see if I wanted to use them as my accountant and ask a very simple question regarding my 401K. I left them my prior years tax return so they could review my history. I thought everything was fine and I wouldn't receive a bill but then 4 months after my meeting I was billed $961. They took off a "Courtesy Discount" of $497.5 but that still left me a bill of over $400. It took the accountant 2 hours billable time ($410) to answer a question I literally already knew the answer to, I just wanted to confirm it. Then charged me $53.75 for a 3 minute phone call to tell me what I already knew. Shame on me for not realizing up front the billing practices but they never really explained them either. I complained again about the charges and they gave me another 30% discount but I'm still paying $324.62 for really nothing. If you decide to use them, get all the billing information upfront and look at it very closely - again, they bill you for every minute of your time. I feel mislead by this company. Also, receiving a bill 4 months after I met with them was unprofessional in the least.
