I usually don’t write negative reviews, and my experience with Merrimack Tax Associates has been so frustrating that I feel compelled to share it. We entrusted them with our business taxes for the current year, and I regret that decision deeply. From the start, their communication has been poor. We have requested updates and timelines, and we’ve received nothing but vague responses and excuses. It’s been months since we submitted my documents, and I’m still left in the dark about the status of my tax return for this year, which is in August. The lack of transparency is unacceptable; communication and planning are critical times for my business. We’ve tried reaching out multiple times, and it feels like I’m just another number in their system. Each time we call or email, we have been met with unhelpful responses, if a response at all, and a lack of urgency. I understand that tax season can be busy; again, it is AUGUST, and this level of service is not professional. As a result of their negligence, I’m now facing potential penalties because my taxes have not been filed on time again. Last year I gave them the benefit of the doubt. This has caused us a significant amount of stress and financial strain, which I was hoping to avoid by using their services. Instead of simplifying the tax process, they have turned it into a nightmare. I cannot recommend Merrimack Tax Associates to anyone looking for reliable tax services. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. I certainly will not be returning for future tax needs. I will not name individuals and will acknowledge that the service may vary based on who you are assigned.

Terrible communication! I was happy with the previous 6 years of tax returns they prepared for me. However, it apparently doesn't matter if you are their client, if they have enough/too much work they will ignore your calls, then kick you to the curb when you show up at their door! Need new management, can't handle the volume they have...avoid Jill at all cost!!!

Customer Service this year was absent and when i had to reach out because they didnt communicate with me, they were rude to work with. Paid almost $400 for bad service.

My taxes were complicated this year and Merrimack Tax Associates made my tax season a breeze! I loved being able to complete my taxes online through their portal and save myself the hours of sitting across from someone in person. They completed my taxes incredibly fast and kept me informed every step of the way! I would highly recommend this company if you want seamless service and quick results. I tried SO HARD to get my taxes done with them, and they never followed through. I called back in Feb to get set up with them, was told their new client coordinator would call me. They never did. I called them over a week later, they finally got me the coordinator on the phone who enrolled me as their new client. She told me to upload last years tax return and theyd be in touch. Over three weeks passed. No contact from them. I went elsewhere. You shouldnt have to keep calling a business to remind them you exist as their client. And it also shouldnt be so hard to set up an in-person meeting. They would not just let me book a meeting and get it all done in one process. Meanwhile I got my taxes done within a week at a different firm, in-person.

Paul and the entire team at Merrimack Tax Associates were so very helpful. I was navigating through some very difficult family changes, and felt worried, scared and unsure of what to do. The response time of answering my questions, and helping me navigate through a very difficult time of my life, made me feel valued, heard and safe. This company truly has their clients best interest at hand.
