Horrible receptionist. The worst. Jacob was Horrible on my taxes. I had to fire him. The receptionist apparently is not capable of a greeting. She's also not capable of a courteous response when approached. If that's how you repeatedly treat your customers when they walk in, I will definitely take my business elsewhere. Jacob started off strong. Ended up being unresponsive. I've heard other horror stories here about him.

Very discouraged. At first Jacob was amazing and quick to respond. He was supposed to amend my 2020 taxes due to errors he stated, yet completely ghosted me, failed to call/email back. Poor business.

I had very simple return, took less then 10 min and still charged me 200 dollars. Very upset and will not return, even of they are more difficult. I drove a long way for them.

I filed my 2019, 20 and 21 taxes with Jake. Began the process of refinancing my house two months ago only to find out my taxes for all three years were never accepted by the IRS, and I was NEVER notified. I have spent hours on the phone with the IRS trying to get to the bottom of it. Now I find out I owe approx 6k more than expected (not from penalties or late fees, but from Jake miscalculating my stimulus payments) and I also realized My child tax credit was not listed on any of my returns. I Never received stimulus payouts, or Bidens monthly child tax payment. My taxes are in shambles; I have no idea how to clean this up. I attempted to let Jake correct it, but he has been nonchalant, uncommunicative and frankly acts like it’s not a big deal. Apparently nepotism means more to this tax firm than actually submitting taxes to the IRS. STAY AWAY FROM SCHARF TAX. UPDATE: I have called, texted and emailed Jake and SCHARF taxes several times over the last 2 weeks. No one calls me back, no one responds to my texts or emails. As far as I can tell only one of my three returns has been processed by the IRS. The penalties on that return alone total over $700. I’m afraid the only way I can get a response from SCHARF is through litigation. What a nightmare! Second Update: 1 month and still no response from SCHARF tax or Jake. I’m now getting letters from the IRS that my forms were filled out incorrectly and they need supporting documentation.
