BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! My husband and I have been with this firm for over 10 years. This year they have taken on so many clients they couldn't keep up with the volume so they filed an extension on our taxes without notifying us nor did they inform us WE would pay a penalty if our taxes weren’t paid by April 15th. One month later I get a bill in the mail from the IRS saying we owe $100 for penalties for not paying our taxes by April 15th. Isn't that why they filed the extension? No, the extension is for MERCER’s benefit!! All the owner had to say was , sorry. The owner of the company, Dave Mercer DOES NOT, I repeat DOES NOT take care of his clients. It's all about how much business they can get in the door and the client doesn't matter. Their actions proved that. He doesn't feel it necessary to inform his clients they would pay a penalty fee if an extension is filed. I have friends that I have recommended to this company over the years and now they are dealing with the same issue as we are. This company doesn’t value their customers like they used to. BE WARE! If you don’t ask the right question then they don’t feel the need to inform you.

I have been using Dave’s services last two years and it has been always excellent. Very easy to communicate, patient to clarify all my silly questions, very professional and out of the tax return season if I need an advice or a copy of something they are always very fast and efficient to help.
