Been going here for years without any issues - things are so seamless. They keep a history of all the work, they work quick, the response fast even on weekend sometimes, and incredibly knowledgeable to ensure your tax needs are met. No fluff, no over the top type things, just exactly what you need to get things done. I highly recommend this place if you haven't checked it out. The entire team is super helpful and nice - no degrading comments and such.

Years ago, I caught one of their senior tax preparers forgetting to add a dependent. Thankfully, I had done my taxes prior to going and just used Xtax to confirm. Then I had a weirdly large bill due to federal taxes. I knew something was wrong with it but don’t know enough about taxes to figure it out myself. I took it to another REAL CPA and they found the error in about 2 minutes. I now have to pay someone else to file an amendment to get my $2500 back. It’s also garbage because I had to pay penalty and interest to the IRS on that $2500 that I will never get back. All because xtax doesn’t employee real CPA and nobody has real knowledge of how taxes work. Update/Edit: Xtax replied stating they would fix it with no charge. I did ask why I had such a large bill and I did express that I felt it was wrong. There was nobody in the office who even understood what I was saying and everyone just kept saying I wasn't taking out enough withholding. This was totally incorrect. Again, I took my taxes somewhere else and the error was uncovered in literal minutes, not even 10 minutes. Xtax cannot correct it for free because they had no idea what was wrong. Whatever CPA are working are not good at their jobs. Plus, the new CPA I used was half the price and better. I would rather pay him than let Xtax mess up more taxes and cost me more money.
