They’re definitely looking out their client’s best interest. Sarah is awesome & very knowledgeable. So is Theresa but honestly they’re all great. Highly recommend!

I just received a phone call from Eric Sloan threatening that if this review is still online by the morning, then he is going to his lawyers and dont even care if I win. He said I will give my lawyers $5000 to make your life as difficult as possible. I wonder how many other people he has threatened to rescind their reviews. The ONLY supposed inaccuracy that he mentioned was about the amount of time took them to get our payroll started. Fine, thats not the point of this review anyway. Well agree to disagree and i will leave that part out. So here it is, the truthful review that I wrote based on my experiences and opinions that I have a legal right to share on this platform: Whatever you do, dont ask about the status of your tax documents. Heres the story: Things Started out well, my family uses this CPA so I thought I would too. EVERY time i called, they NEVER call me back. I always have to go there in person to get a response. This year, I had all my tax info to them before the electronic file date, they said they would e-file it on the 30th of January. I called 2 weeks later to check the status of it, because the IRS site said they didnt have it, and they said they sent it out on the 6th (A week after they were supposed to do it because there was a time sensitive issue). Two weeks after that, I checked with the IRS, and they said they didnt have it. When I went in to find out whats going on, since they didnt call me back (again), I was pulled into a little meeting room by Eric and told that if I ever implied that he didnt do his job again, I would be looking for a new CPA. When I said excuse me? He said it again, then opened the door and told my father (who has NOTHING to do with my personal taxes) that he wont do any further CPA work for my fathers business. He was just there to pay his bill!! Then as I walked out the door I heard him tell my father that I am a prick. I never once raised my voice until he called be a prick and brought my father into it. There is NO excuse or reason to treat a customer that way. I was simply trying to find out if there was a problem with the taxes or if there was an issue submitting them. Electronic communications get lost all the time. This was very uncalled for and unprofessional.

Sarah Porter at Sloan and Associates has been our CPA for years. She is very professional and quick to respond to all of our inquiries. Although we will be moving out of state soon, we will continue to use Sloan and Associates for all of our future needs.

Every employee I’ve encountered at Sloan & Associates have been more than professional. They have reached out with friendly reminders which is a blessing for a busy business owner! They have always completed my taxes in a professional manner and ahead of schedule. Love them!

Tax service was extremely fast and hassle free, dropped them offing a Friday, received a courtesy call to inform me of the refund/ payment amounts the following Tuesday, signed and picked up my copies at my convenience the following Monday. Everything was taken care of, I just had to write a check and drop the provided envelope in the mail. Tax prep price was $55.00 less than I paid the previous year at another preparer.

I've been using Sloan & Assoc. for 5 years now. After using an online company for years with everything seeming to be fine. After a "hiccup" and a letter from the IRS, I immediately contacted Sloan & Assoc. and they fixed the issue that was made by the online company, and have handled my taxes and accounting questions ever since. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I cannot recommend them enough to my friends.
