I live in Novi and have had the same CPA for 19 years. He is older and I felt it was important to establish a new relationship with a younger firm now then be forced to find someone if he retires or something happens to him. I wanted to be able to look around and not rush. I found Wisley & Williams on Angies List and went to them for my tax return and I also have a family trust return. They have a staff of 10-12 which is something else I liked rather than just a 1 man show. They offer a multitude of services. I just used the tax service. I felt like they were quite knowledgeable and friendly to work with. They are more expensive but I am still glad I finally made the switch.

I have always done my own return on turbo tax. I have a couple rental properties and a stock account. I didn’t think it was worth paying someone to do. I found this company on google. I just walked in to Wisley & Williams and asked them to review my return only because of all Trumps new tax law changes that have occurred in the last year. I spoke to Mark who said he would review the return. I thought they might find something small. I guess I was wrong. They found deductions I missed, a large credit that is new just in the last year, they even went back and amended my prior year return. They got me back an extra $7,000. I am a client for life. Thank you Mark and staff. They also do financial advising and insurance so it’s to get it all done at 1 time.

Mark has done my taxes for the past four years and the experience has been great. While I dislike paying taxes, he is responsive and always gets them done on time. I would highly recommend W&W to anyone seeking a tax professional.

I used this company to get my 2018 taxes done. I removed 2 stars because my taxes were completed incorrectly, and removed another star for the price of $450, which I was charged after being there for approximately 90 minutes (I was a first time customer). I was informed by Wisley & Williams that I needed to pay quarterly taxes in 2019, but this was incorrect (I’m a full time employee and receive a W2, which I told them). I paid the quarterly taxes that Wisley & Williams told me to but when I connected to a different CPA to complete my 2019 taxes, she told me it was incorrect for me to be paying quarterly. The IRS agreed and I can confirm that I now received all the money back that Wisley & Williams told me to pay quarterly in 2019. I gave this business 2 stars because it seems like the owners care about their business. Overall however, I think the quality of work being done here could use improvement. Definitely not a fit for me.

I found Wisley & Williams while searching the web for an accountant to file my 1040 return. I moved to Michigan, so I had income from multiple states. I liked the professional service treatment and they are not a one man show. I worked with both Ian and Mark and was very pleased with the results. I was able to get a sit down appointment and then came back to pick up my tax return about 5-7 days later. They also offer financial services, which is nice because it's an all in one firm. Pricing was fair. I paid $425 for my return.

Ive been using Mark for a number of years. I am thankful to have him to handle the tax and accounting for my business, which isnt always straight forward. . I always seem to have complicated business tax scenarios, but he simplifies it all for me and helps alleviate a ton of stress. I no longer am doing the do-it-yourself tax route and trust Mark to take care of all my personal and business taxes. His team not only helped me with my taxes but was able to steer me in the right direction with their team of financial advisers. They helped me rewrite my trust and left me feeling at ease when I left. I have referred him to multiple friends and they have all been pleased!

Looking to get a lot of tax work done, I searched for a place that would not only have enough experience but also the skills to get my tax documents in order for it to be as least painful as possible. Being a complete tax newb, and tired of disappointment from places like H&R block, and not feeling up to the task of doing it myself with TurboTax; I stopped by Horizon Advisers to see what all the reviews were about. He put everything in perspective and simplicity for me to understand in a way that no other CPA could do for me. His office is also rigged up with a nice big Monitor for you to see what he is doing. We got everything done in under an hour.
