Over the past two years, I've entrusted my tax affairs to their services. In 2023, when I needed to file for the 2022 tax year, I decided to give their company a chance (my previous accountant passed, so their services were recommended) and opted for an in-person appointment. However, upon arrival, I was surprised to learn that it was merely a drop-off point for my forms, with no actual discussion or processing of my taxes. This was completely different from my normal, where I've always left appointments with a clear understanding of my tax situation. Knowing what I will be refunded, knowing what I will owe, and signing my forms. This left me feeling disappointed. Had I been informed beforehand, I wouldn't have made the trip for a simple drop-off. Although it took a while, my taxes were filed on time, which was a relief. I also extended grace knowing that they took on quite a few new clients with my previous accountant's untimely demise. Fast forward to this year, I took advantage of their online submission option and uploaded all necessary documents on March 22nd/23rd, followed by a courtesy call to ensure they were aware. However, despite my efforts, there was no response. After waiting patiently for over a month, I had to reach out in April to inquire about the status of my taxes. I called on April 15th and found out the office was closed for the entire week. I  called again the following week on April 22nd. I was continuously put on hold by the employee so that he could find out if my taxes had been done. Due to the duration and amount of times I was placed on hold, I was not certain my taxes were ever done. It wasn't until April 29th that I finally received the necessary documents and invoice via email. Overall, while my taxes were eventually completed, the lack of proactive communication and the extended delays in providing updates have left me considering alternatives for future tax services.

So my wife and I were searching for a Tax expert with knowledge and experience as we ran our selves into trouble with uncle Sam.
