We found out a few weeks ago that Belvedere never filed my husband's taxes both federal and state in 2020 by MD sending a letter about putting a lien on our house. Belvedere has not emailed my husband back and now there are thousands in fees we have to pay. At the time, we were not married so I wouldn't have noticed since our taxes were clearly separate.

If you want to pay thousands of dollars in late fees and penalties Belvedere Tax Group is the place for you. Jason was a CLOSE family friend for over 25 years and handled me like we’re strangers. He prepared but never submitted three years of my taxes to the IRS and State. When confronted he told me to submit them myself so he wasn’t liable. Furthermore he refused to refund me even after his negligence. I spoke with a few of Jason’s previous customers who’ve had similar experiences and we all agree that although mistakes happen sometimes this is definitely a pattern of bad behavior and quite frankly fraud! I’ll be reporting him to the Better Business Bureau, the IRS and Department of Revenue along with taking legal action. Jason response to this review will be defensive and combative for sure! Not once did he acknowledge any wrong doing and I’m sure that’ll show below my review. If he can do this to me who considered him family he’ll do it anyone!

If I could leave zero stars I would. We could have given our taxes to our 3 year old and have had a better experience. Jason (the owner) and his team did not file our taxes on time NOR file for an extension despite us submitting our tax information in January 2023 with the deadline in April 2023. This caused us to be fined thousands of dollars at every level of the government. When we received these fine notices in Aug 2023 we immediately notified Jason and Michelle. I cannot detail the level of disregard and lack of communication that occurred from Jason and Michelle. We had to beg for updates regarding the fines and any crumb of information if the fines were abated. Which is absurd as these fines were due to their own negligence. What tax professional does not apply for an extension if needed? In end Jason had to personally pay the final tax fine as he was unable to get it abated and even prolonged that process. The tax notifications demanded payment April 18th, 2024 and both my husband and I had to individually call, email, and call again directly to Jason for him to make the payment before the final deadline. All in all it took Jason and his team 9 months to resolve this issue and countless hours of my family worrying about this issue, and chasing down Jason to correct the mistake him and his team made. I would not recommend them to anyone, even a person I did not like.

I lost my tax professional and family friend 3 years ago due to COVID, and prior to his mitigation, I was audited early into my career. As such, it was important to me to find someone whom (like my previous tax professional) was HONEST and possessed the financial prowess to aid in my continued financial development. I am more than pleased with my services at the Belvedere Tax Group and I would highly recommend.

Don’t waste your time or money my taxes were here for a full year nothing I mean nothing happened. Call after call nothing changed every time I was told it would just hold out, things have changed since Covid no one is getting taxes back fast anymore... Finally became fed up took them to H&R block got my taxes back in a week or 2 stay away from this place at all costs. As far as I’m concerned they still owe me $300 in filing fees!

Worst experience i have ever had. You can do this yourself at turbo tax..just like he does. Had i known he would only give me 100 i would of went ANYWHERE else. It comes down to laziness. Knowing we could all go to turbo tax ourselves and do it instead of letting the tax man take money out of our return. He made me sign a document. Before i left i wanted a ball park on how much id get(state and fed). Nothing...nothing near that. And once your out of the office your lucky to get in touch with him again.my advice for those who ARE expecting a tax return like you usually get..you WILL be finessed here, you WILL NOT get full transparency

Today I was treated less than a human because I'm trans. I can't believe how this guy treated me. I do not recommend this place. It was horrible experience. I left in tears

I have been using belvedere tax group for the past 10 years .. I not only look at Jason as my tax preparator he is a great person and a awesome friend I love his service and his expertise he always looks out to make sure you get every dollar your owed on your return ... Thanks for being a great friend Jason
