I signed a 1 year contract with Real Count where they were to provide month end reconciling services and quarterly tax strategy meetings (their most basic package). Everything was going great until about a month and a half into our contract. I had a meeting with their team to learn that they were no longer providing that package/service and if I wanted to retain their services, I would have to upgrade to their full accounting and tax service (even though I had a contract signed with them that stated that they would provide services mentioned above for one year). The price for this upgraded package was double the cost of the services we agreed upon. After asking if we could find some sort of middle ground on price, I was disappointed to hear that they wouldn't be willing to negotiate price. After hearing this I requested for a full refund and a termination of our contract (they did give me a full refund). Up until this point, I enjoyed working with the RealCount team and I don't think that there was any intention to "scam" me. However, what they did was completely unprofessional and put me in a very difficult position because my business was opening in a month and I now needed to find another accounting team to help me. Although I enjoyed working with their team, I cannot recommend their services because of the way that they handled this situation.

I moved my business accounting to RealCount last year due to our former accountant becoming overpriced. I interviewed three companies and I was a bit uneasy moving to a remote accountant since I couldn't drive down the street to see them. I ultimately concluded I did almost everything online with them anyway and only saw them in person maybe once a year. Plus with Zoom, I can "meet" with someone anywhere in the world so I gave RealCount a shot. So glad I did! RealCount is professional, responsive, patient and priced fairly. I actually had to argue with them about how they should have charged me more for one service! I have already referred family members to them and can tell you that you are unlikely to have a bad experience with RealCount. Moving your accounting to a new company is no small undertaking and it is worth doing your homework on which company to use. For me, this was an excellent move and I couldn't be happier to have made the switch. I received no compensation for this review, nor was I offered any, nor would I have taken it if they had. Real person, real review. 5 stars in my book.

We just recently started with RealCount and love them! The onboarding process was so smooth and we have felt completely taken care of in every way. Our accountant, Susan, has been more than available and willing to answer any questions we've had. Our bookkeeper, Jenny, has made the receipt management and bill processing so smooth. I seriously feel so much less stressed having RealCount managing our accounts and doing our books. Would highly recommend!

I was looking for a firm having a combination of real estate accounting/finance and market conditions, to advise on our rental properties. In reviewing RealCount's marketing materials, it appeared they would be a perfect combination for our needs. We requested an analysis of our rental properties, a proposed offer to purchase one of our duplexes, subsequent 1031 exchange options, market conditions, tax consequences, etc. After supplying all the requested information to RC and signing a service contract, they subjected us to an on-boarding process requesting info, which had already been provided to their VP of Sales the week before. Given our Duplex Purchase Offer was time sensitive we initially requested a fast track process, which this was not. After multiple delays, a meeting was scheduled a month later with RC's real estate tax profession. It was clear from our meeting this individual had NOT reviewed any of the information provided. After 30 minutes of bringing her up to speed, she stated she would review and report back her recommendations in a couple of days. We never heard back from her. A month later RC informed us our request was outside their scope. The reason....RC does not provide analysis of local real estate conditions. Now, one would think this information could have been provided before we jumped through hoops and wasted two months that were time critical. My take away is RC's marketing is overstating their actual expertise and/or operation execution.

We are so thankful for REVEAL and their accounting services. It has allowed us to do what WE are good at, publish books! REVEAL started working with us just as we had financial fraud and they helped us come out of the mess!

I have loved RealCount for our small non-profit. Very responsive, quality work, and reasonable price for our 2-3 person organization.
