Sat with Jim Wilhelm in 2018 and was assured assistance with a difficult accounting problem and received a condescending Dear John letter in December 2021 stating that the service they provide didnt fit my needs, which was completing a tax return. I felt very betrayed and left in a lurch. Every tax return to that date had been late, two of them on me, two of them on Jim. Every year, a new CPA was assigned to relearn the challenges of our return, and last year they changed their processes without telling anyone, leaving us in the blind until we took the initiative to find out what was happening. The $2000 fee for each return was acceptable, but included a considerable amount of butt pain trying to assist the accountants delegated our return with the idiosyncrasies of our tax situation. The female accountants were friendly, helpful, and very competent, the male accountant was not, which we speculate precipitated the unsigned letter telling us their tax preparation services didnt fit our needs. We were tired of our returns being late and the subsequent penalties on top of our preparation fees we encountered, so in effect, Jim must have sensed this and beat us to the divorce.

My wife and I were seeking help with our personal and business taxes. We heard about this firm as a result of their extensive promotion on 99.9 WXJB. We reached out to them and were informed we had to schedule a telephone consultation with one of the partners to determine if we were a good fit. We had the consultation, which ended up being a very brief conversation with the partner. We were told that they focus on wealth management, and therefore we are not a good fit for their services. Just a heads up in case you are looking for an accounting firm to assist with taxes. You apparently must be already wealthy to qualify as clients with this firm.

Having taken over my husband's software business after his passing in 2016, I was able to continue running it, as I was handling the bookkeeping, payroll, and reporting since 1994. However, when I moved from NY to FL, the task of moving the business was , to say the least, somewhat overwhelming. Beth, from Campbell & Company, made the process so easy that I'd forgotten why I was concerned in the first place. She provided clear explanations for my questions and never made me feel silly for asking them. I'm grateful to them for making this one particular aspect of my move far less intimidating, and I have no doubts that I will use their services for other needs that may arise.

He takes time to answer any questions and always returns phone calls in a timely manner. Jim Wilhelm of Campbell & Company helped us with a personal tax issue. I explained the situation in approximately 15 minutes, and in a very short amount of time, Jim had explained what I needed to know. He took time to not only answer my question, but also, told me what I would need to do in the future in a situation which could arise. Jim Campbell is efficient, knowledgable and professional.
