We hired the Boress firm on the recommendation of a friend for our 2020 business filing. We worked primarily with Jonni Marie and found her to be meticulous and well-informed. Despite the financial chaos of 2020, she was able to accurately sort through the information and file our return. We had no issues or audits. As others have noted, email communication can be slow. However, your patience will be well-rewarded, and we had success with phone calls and in-person visits to resolve any urgent questions. We look foward to working with them again in the future.

We used this company to complete our taxes and the turnaround time was very quick. However, we had received an additional item in the mail and my husband and I emailed several times with questions and no one responded which was incredibly frustrating. We will not be using this company again.

Allan is very knowledgeable. I found his firm through the Dave Ramsey referrals and am not disappointed. Allan is patient and professional in his approach. He takes time to explain why and find the best way to minimize tax burdens legally. He also encourages giving back to the community with a special affinity for cats. I am updating my previous review. I have heard from Mr Boress and we both understand where the breakdown in communication occurred and I feel sure it has been rectified and won't happen again. He is taking care of the problem and I am satisfied with the work they are doing for me. Extremely disappointed. I have been waiting 6 weeks for my return to be completed. I can't get anyone to call me back and give me an idea when they will be done. the receptionist keeps telling me it is in process and someone will call be back. It seems they are way too busy to get things done or even give one update in 6 weeks!

I've had terrific experiences working with Allan Borress. I have nothing but good things to say. I began working with Allan Borress a few years ago on a recommendation from a friend. I live in Chicago, but decided to go with a trusted recommendation over someone local whom I did not know. They handled my remote situation with ease - we had an introductory phone call or two, and then they set me up with their secure online portal for document transfer. It's easy to use for sending and receiving information. Their work has always been careful and precise; they have handled all filing and clearly communicated any next actions that I've needed to take. I plan on continuing to work with Allan Borress for my accounting needs for the foreseeable future!
