i hate leaving bad reviews and i rarely do, but my experience with mosaic was so disappointing. i reached out to them in 2022 because i had just started a new job as an independent contractor in publishing and didn’t want to deal with the hassle of it all along with my w2. i was told the group had experience with publishing and the filing went fine. I realized about a year later that i was eligible to deduct my agent’s commission of $4,000 (which i now know is often the largest portion of publishing write-offs but was never mentioned to me as something i could deduct. i don’t hold this against them, as it is specific industry knowledge) and i figured we could just refile since i did pay $8000 in taxes that year and i wanted at least some of that back. i emailed Scott on 4/1 and then again 4/25, and did not hear back. On Aug 27 i called and emailed with Stephanie who said Scott would reach out and he never did. At this point, I’ve given up on hearing from them and am going with a different cpa. Also, on top of all that there were small communication errors where they sent me emails saying i hadn’t filled in forms/paid when i had. and they didn’t ask whether i wanted a tax return check or to have it applied to next year’s returns, i had to reach out and tell them to file so i would get a check. Lastly, they charged me $600 to file my 2023 taxes, which was at least $300 more than every other CPA i reached out to after i gave up on mosaic. If your taxes are completely uncomplicated, they’re probably fine. They were professional during tax season and Stephanie was very kind when I spoke to her on the phone. But to be honest, they’ve caused me more of a headache and more money than if i had just filed my own taxes in the first place.

Thinking maybe they’re closed and it hasn’t been updated. Or else they just don’t return voicemails or monitor the phones during business hours, no email address listed. Either aren’t in business or aren’t interested in business.

Been using them for over a decade for all my personal and business returns. Have moved away from Colorado to two different states and they always get it right while filing my taxes in three states over the years. I called them to get information about hiring a CPA for my family for the first time. They went above and beyond in learning my situation and giving me advice without any pressure to hire them. We plan on starting to use them.
