There seem to be so many great reviews but unfortunately we cant say the same. They have had our tax info for almost a year now and they are still not done without any answers as to why. We are pretty sure that we will owe quite a bit of money so our interest and penalties continue to climb as we wait for them to finish. We havent been able to make any plans in our future until we know where we stand financially so our lives our on hold and have been for nearly a year now. To say that this is frustrating is an extreme understatement. We need our taxes done so that we can move on with our lives and plan our future, but we still have no indication as to when that will happen.

I switched to Carson group this year from another accountant that wasn’t great. So far they are great. Jay Zeng did my taxes for 3 businesses and personal. It is so nice having someone that replies fast and accurate answers. Now Lisa Cole is going to help me fix some quick books online errors quick books can’t figure out and I will be doing financial planing with Beth Walker. My fiancé has used her for year and had her taxes done here for a long time and that is why I switched. I’m so glad I did. Thank you all Eric from A1 Concrete Leveling.

Audited by IRS in 2022 for tax year 2020. Have to pay over $9000 to IRS including penalties and interest and then charged additional $900 from Carson Shaefer Group to review audit

I have use The Shafer Group for years. I work overseas, using other tax filing companies I was asked more questions other then receiving answers and when I did get answers they were mostly gibberish. When I went to The Shafer Group I was satisfied immediately that year and have been with them since, 8 years I think now.

I have been receiving exceptional service from the Shafer group since 1995 when Greg was still working from his home office. I was introduced by a colleague when i complained that after using turbo tax I would have to pay that year. I resisted because Turbo tax “walks you thru” and it had to be right? He said: see Greg Shafer. If you do not get better results than turbo tax I will pay his service fee for you. I received money back instead of paying that year, because I had a loss that year that was not part of the questions asked in turbo tax. I am not saying Turbo tax is bad. I am saying if you are not filing EZ or you need advice on a small business and how to use the laws in your favor... turbo tax may fall short? So do yourself a favor and see greg. Use the Shafer group not only for tax season, but hire them to advise you before you start that business. Best hour you will ever pay for.

Nothing but top tier accounting talent at this company. After trying several others in the past, what a night and day difference it has been working with Shafer Group. They were able to recover substantial accounting misses by others which resulted in a significant check back to us. What a way to start a relationship! They are absolutely on top of all the changes and work with us to develop a winning strategy for our companies. They are just about as good as a company can be, competent and always have your best interest in mind. I shy away from making recommendations but in this case I can wholeheartedly endorse Shafer Group without reservation.
