I called his office this morning and he had time to talk to me so I explained the issue I was having with an amended tax return that, along with the IRS, was giving me fits. Although a very busy person, he agreed to meet with me today and he showed me the error of my ways and told me how to fix it. Stan is the Man! And if I need tax help in the future, I know where to go.

I had questions regarding the capital gains taxes that would be due on the sale of a home that had been gifted to me years ago. An internet search brought me to Stan. He took the time to discuss my situation and answer all of my questions, even though I was not a current customer. He was more than helpful and professional, at one point telling me he wanted to check another source to make sure he was providing the correct information. He called back within a few minutes after having verified the information. He then graciously provided me with the next steps needed to calculate the basis for the capital gains. Stan was the second CPA I called. The first one requested I come to the office, bring any and all documentation I could find from 30 years ago and charge me $175.00 for half and hour. This was just to answer a few questions. Stan did this over the phone, at no cost. I will be going back to him to have my taxes done, and highly recommend him. After researching and thinking I found a good match for my needs, I contacted Stans office and spoke with Cindy It was a very busy time and I was told that he would reach out soon but I would probably need to wait to set up a meeting. I waited for the corporate tax calendar to pass as well as the personal extensions time to pass, Since I had not heard from him as promised, I called back several times, mainly speaking with Cindy. My recent call last week was to ask for a referral as it seems they are too busy to take on new clients but instead of telling me that, offering a referral, or ANY return contact at all, I called again today.. .still so busy but when I started to get angry that NO ONE had returned my calls even to tell me They couldnt see me, all of a sudden, hes was right there. Fortunately, I recognize now that I need to contact someone else, possibly two or three people, but It would have been nice if they had told me to go elsewhere earlier. Negative Responsiveness
