Used this tax service for 10 years from 2011 onward. They were fine (Jim, the CPA was good) until ownership changed around 2018/19. The new owner (Hansson, EA not CPA) is exceptionally frustrating to communicate with, missed multiple agreed-on deadlines, and makes pretty serious clerical errors on tax returns (he actually admitted the errors in writing and offered to correct them but his corrections contained additional errors!; he then decided it was no longer worth his time to correct the errors). Probably the most unprofessional experience in memory; had to hire an expensive outside firm to correct everything. I hope nobody else has to go through this. I cannot recommend.

I haven't lived in Oakland for years now and I still take the time to drive over there and see Paul when I need to get my taxes done. I'm a customer as long as he'll have me.

Fast, responsive, accurate, and good prices. Jim Marriner did my taxes and I was very satisfied. Recommended.
