I’ve never hired a tax professional before — and the whole tax process has always filled me with anxiety and made me confused (to put it nicely). The gratitude I feel to have found Blake is almost indescribable! He responded to every single call and email so promptly, explained needed documents and the portal was easy to access and use. I didn’t even have to set foot inside an office; he did everything remotely and filed my taxes for me electronically in a matter of days! In addition, he was cheerful and positive every time I talked to him — the complete opposite of how I used to feel doing my own taxes in the past! I plan to continue working with him in the future and no longer dread tax time — which is the highest praise I can give.

The finest and the pinnacle of what a CPA should be is BLAKE KOOLICK. He may be my son, and yes, I am so proud of what he does and how he does it. But, from the time he was 10 he knew what he wanted to do. When all his friends were vacationing at 16, Blake was studying and doing internships. He excelled in all his schooling and received awards for his commitment to his field. We were having someone with 30 years experience doing our taxes for years. However, every year that we had them done although Blake didn’t have his license yet, he would review them and point things out that we asked our CPA about and our CPA asked us if we were using someone else in addition to him to do our taxes. We told him our son, who is studying in the field, who was not yet licensed. Needless to say, he was quite embarrassed that Blake caught things that our “seasoned” CPA had not. As soon as Blake got licensed we transferred everything to him, and could not be happier. I ask you this….do YOU have your CPAs cell phone number and are you able to call them at any time even if they’re on vacation? Blake genuinely cares and is there for you! He knows his job so well, that you will walk away in disbelief...His work ethics are like no other. When he says, your taxes will be done, efficiently and promptly, they will be! Yes, Blake is my son, yes, I am proud, but he truly excels in what he does. Trust me when I say not only will you be ecstatic by the results but you will tell your friends and family as well. Blake set up our LLC for us. He said it was something we could possibly do ourselves but after the horror story we heard from a friend who owns his own business and uses a different CPA we decided to use Blake to do it for us. He got it done ASAP, literally the minute we called him. Unbelievable! My friends CPA took over a year. Blake is worth every dollar.

I came to Scottsdale CPAs when my previous CPA came to their organization. My CPA retired and this office has taken care of me ever since. Darren first met me a few years back and met me on short notice when I needed something. When he saw what I was doing at my new business in 2016 he recognized I needed a planning session. In that session he made me realize I had to pay myself per IRS guidelines. Even though I was not actually profiting (putting money in my pocket) on paper I was. Fast forward to COVID19 and the PPP program...because I was paying myself a salary, no matter how small it was. I was able to get a portion of my PPP forgiven for my pay. Others with the same franchise as I have, did not pay themselves and therefore 1) are not following IRS guidelines and 2) missed out on PPP and unemployment. This season I took a weekend and locked myself at a hotel to focus on cleaning up my taxes. It was a holiday weekend as well. I messaged Blake not expecting to necessarily hear anything until Tuesday. He responded within minutes to my email. We had some back and forth over how to enter EIDL, PPP, and even a grant from the city and county. All on a Saturday over a holiday weekend. What commitment. They get it that I am a small business guy that is stressed out. I think you get the idea. They are a solid 5-star company! Positive Responsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I have been in practice for almost 18 years. Since my accountant passed a way eight years ago . It has been a challenge to find an accountant that is reliable , knowledgeable, and efficient . I specifically did not like the way I had been billed. No explanation of why I had to pay so much !! And when asked for brake down, it was provided to me reluctantly. To my surprise I was being charged for every little text , email or call even though it was only to make sure documents are correct and they got it . With Scott’s led CPA, they already have the fees broken down before you become engage with them . I have been working with Blake and he has been providing me with very helpful information. Taxes and enjoyable are not typically two words that go together, but working with Blake and the team at Scottsdale CPA's the past few years has been just that. My wife (before we were married) found Scottsdale CPA's and was happy with her experience. When we got married we decided to continue with them and I'm glad we did. I initially scheduled some advisory meetings with them to help me plan how best to structure things with some new businesses and investments and then we used them for both our personal and corporate accounting needs and now I even use their payroll services. The advice they provided was extremely beneficial in setting up the most tax efficient structure for our businesses and Blake was extremely helpful and answered all our questions promptly when we called or emailed. He made himself available outside of normal hours numerous times. I also think their fees are very reasonable and their service is exceptional when compared to CPA's I've used in the past. If you are still reading this review, please stop and just hire Scottsdale CPA's already...I'm telling you might just find tax season to be enjoyable if you do.

Scottsdale CPA have filed my taxes and advised me for over 5 years. They are always responsive and knowledgeable. They have guided me through a 2 year audit. Provided sound advice which resulted in a favorable outcome. Darren had convinced me to change my LLC to an Scorp and this drastically reduced taxes for me over the last years. I am glad I took his advice! I have worked with Blake the last couple of years and he is prompt, helpful, explanatory, knowledgably and overall a pleasure to talk with. He is always available for a quick email or call and he is very competent. I have been very happy with Scottsdale CPA and will continue to use them into the future. Thank you guys!
