The most unethical and unprofessional company I have ever encountered. They are "accountants," and "book keepers," but, charging businesses yearly fees and not even with them any longer! How are you a place that keeps financial records and balanced books for companies but, do not even keep track of your own? How in any way shape or form are you justifying hundreds of dollars of charges to business that are no longer your clients? Then when the company is contacted and told this is happening you give flippant round about answers or told they are busy ..and they are going to have to get back to you...then crickets. I hope your unethical business practice catches up and you are shut down...fined sued and drug through the mud. This is what gives people who do ethical business a bad name in this profession! People like you who have no idea what is going on but, cashing those checks and taking money from people you do not even service. STAY CLEAR! ***you should do your research before you answer ANY google reviews. I didn't just call on FRIDAY. WE did do the research obviously since I can tell you ALL the charges and the doubled amounts charged by you for years....PROVE THAT WE SIGNED UP. WHO IS OUR SALES REP? We do not even have a sales rep. Are you trying to down play my role or understanding of how business and bookkeeping works with passive aggressive comments like RACHELS BOSS ? I AM THE BOSS. I have been doing book keeping and accounting for 25 years as well as the clearance to practice in front of the IRS. Half of what you stated is incorrect and the conversations that took place and more then one conversation were flippant and rude and at one point told to busy. Sad that this is your reply with out any real knowledge of the subject ..again speaks to your business. I can't wait for this long and drawn out misinformed answer is read by everyone as your passive aggressive arrogant reply speaks volumes. I read excuses, I read condescending, and rudeness not only that but, you try and invalidate me as a person with RACHELS BOSS etc. . . You have not only charged thousands of dollars for services never rendered to the business since 2017 you couldn't even get the scenario right. Oh so you taking money from us without any service provided is not precedence. Funny that you taking money from a business without services rendered is not priority because if I found out we accidently charged a business thousands we do not do any services for would be pretty top of my list to get solved. Thanks for validating exactly as I stated through your reply.

I received a letter from this company stating that they had been hired by one of our customers. I was asked to complete a W-9 for transactions over $600. I called to speak with someone and Kristin answered the phone. She was rude, didnt want to answer my question as to why I would need to complete the form, and LITERALLY told me that she was busy and didnt want to talk to me. Read reviews before hiring companies to do your finances!!!

The Book Balancer charged our business account for Quickbooks services that we had used in the past but were no longer using. I called multiple times to try to get answers as to why they charged us and every time they just "took a message" and said someone would get back to me but they never did. I continued to call and eventually the lady that answered told me that they would not refund our money and gave no explanation as to what the charges were for and why they wouldn't refund it. Don't use this company!

I called to get a price quote to help me balance my books. It took several calls, asking for hourly rates and I never received a quote. The person who helped me didn’t seem to understand what I was asking for. They asked for access to my Quickbooks account, and they told me to add some accounts back to the file (which wasn’t the issue). I asked them to provide a price as to what the cost would be for them to do it and for them to show me how to input Square transactions. They never called me back, and according to them my request had been lost. I emailed them to let them know I no longer wanted to use there services, and the person who responded was rude and condescending. I know companies are busy during tax time, but communication and professionalism should always be offered to a potential client. The “cherry on top” was when they charged my account $45 for “reviewing my account.” I would have happily paid them 4x the amount, but no one seemed to want to help me. I hope they enjoy the $45 they took. Bad business.

Ive been with Jennifer Clennans The Book Balancer for years. I can highly recommend her. She has helped me manage taxes for my medical clinic, does payroll, helped with PPP loans, insurance audits, etc. She does everything well, and has helped me out A LOT with her quick and efficient work, especially with things that came up outside the norm. You cannot go wrong with her company; they are friendly, professional, efficient and do good work at very reasonable rates. Positive Responsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I highly recommend this company for small businesses. Its impressive how Jennifer and her team offer such excellent level of reliability as well as professionalism. I fully trust them to handle my bookkeeping & accounting matters and theyre truly the best here in Ahwatukee/Phoenix. Ive dealt with other Phoenix bookkeepers and accountants before but nothing compares to them.

I wish I had read the reviews here prior to engaging with this business. The work was terrible, my books are in worse shape than when I started with them in April of this year. They did not perform in a timely manner. I received nothing from them that could be used to file my taxes. They overcharged me, considering 7 months ago we started, and by October, I still could not use what they worked on. Accounts from business and personal were combined. I can’t tell you how frustrating this has been. I am now going to report them to the better business bureau, And 3 on your side. The charges were unbelievable, since the work could not be used, and my accounts are in worse shape than when they started. The only bright spot in that bunch is Bev, the girl that answers our calls. If I could give negative stars i would, 3 years later STILL DEALING with IRS issues due to her accounting practices, fraudulent and unethical , i wouldnt have her team count marbles for me.
